Louis Trezevant Wilds, III

Mr. Louis Wilds III

Retired business owner

Mr. Louis T. Wilds III, 81, of 3019 Lake Forest Drive, died Tuesday, Oct. 5. 1999, at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at The Church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Robert Fain officiating. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery, Aiken.

Mr. Wilds, a native of Aiken, had retired as owner of Wilds Tire Co., in Augusta, North Augusta and Aiken. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Augusta Country Club, West Lake Country Club, Optimists Club of Augusta and The Church of the Good Shepherd.

Survivors include his wife, Cathryn Wilds; three sons, Louis Trezevant Wilds IV and Ashley Sloan Wilds, both of Augusta, and Charles Mullally Wilds, Sugarland, Texas; two brothers, Preston Lea Wilds, Norfolk, Va., and Sheffield Phelps Wilds, Kerrville, Texas; a sister, Julia Williamson, Aiken; and a grandchild.

Memorials may be made to American Lung Association, 3630 J. Dewey Gray Circle, Suite A, Augusta, GA 30909; or Altar Guild of The Church of the Good Shepherd, 2230 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue.
