Will of George J. Vining, Sr.

Pine Bluff, Ark

April 25, 1913

To all whom it may concern

I the undersigned, George J. Vining, Sr, being of sound mind and memory do hereby make this my last will and testament, to wit,

1st

I hereby give bequeath, and devise, unto my well beloved wife, Amelia R. Vining, all of my property both real and personal, that I am now, or may in the future become possessed of which shall include household furniture, books, pictures, apparel, notes, accounts, merchandise, live stock, tools, utensils, and other articles not enumerated, now in my possession. And further, it is my desire that if by reason of labor expended, services rendered, or from other cause or causes, I should have any rights in any way in law or equity, to any interest in my wifes, Amelia R. Vining (nee Schmidt) property, that said rights in real estate is hereby relinquished, cancelled, or devised to her believing that her loving kindness and tender care, with her constant attention to my great needs in age and bodily weakness, her comfort to both body, mind and soul will be only partially compensated thereby.

2nd. The sum of five dollars each to my children as follows T. F. Vining, Nellie Christopher, Geo. J. Vining, Jr., A.L. Vining, Fred Vining and Jno Vining. Also, five dollars, each to my grandchildren Reba and Dovic Alexander.

3rd. I hereby appoint my wife Amelia R. Vining Executrix of this my will without bond.

To whom I also give sole charge of my body to do with as she sees best in the name of God. Amen.

County of Jefferson

Personally approved before me Carrier M. Nichol, Clerk of county and Probate Courts of Jefferson County, J. E. Wilbocher and Agnes E. Wilbocher to me well known, who being duly sworn say that they are the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of George J. Vining, Sr. deceased, that said instrument was executed at the time, place, and by the party therein; that said George J. Vining, Sr. the testator was at the time of signing said instrument of writing upwards of twenty-one years of age, and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and that in the presence of both of these officiants he declared it to be his last will and testament, and subscribed his name thereto in the presence of both of these, officiants; that at the request of said Testator officients wrote their names to his said will in his presence and in the presence of each other; that the subscription to the foregoing instrument of writing are genuine, and that said instrument, which is hereto attached is the identical one that officiants so witnessed and saw the said George J. Vining, Sr. sign, and that the said Testator died on the 15th day of March 1915.
