William Hunter Peel

W. HUNTER PEEL, SR., DEAD

W. Hunter Peel, Sr., died at his home near Waterford, Friday evening at 7:55 after a long illness. Burial was here in Hill Crest cemetery, Saturday afternoon at three o' clock, services by Rev. W. R. Lott.

He is survived by his his wife, a daughter, Mrs. D. H. Smythe, of Lake, Miss., and a son, W. H. Peel, of Holly Springs.

Mr. Peel , who was nearing his seventy-fifth year, was a native of Marshall county, born and reared in the neighborhood in which he lived and died. He was a fine type of a man and the county had lost a good citizen, his neighbors a good friend.

He served as County Treasurer many years ago. Mr. Peel was an exemplary member of the Methodist church.
