Gladys McCullough Alexander

Mrs. George L. Alexander

Mrs. Gladys McCullough Alexander of 31 McMillen Trail, widow of George Ludovic Alexander, died Saturday. Born in Alicia (Lawrence County), she was a daughter of William Joseph and Nancy S. McCullough. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and taught for several years at Little Rock Junior College.

She was past president of the Greater Little Rock Council of Church Women, the Bookfellows, and the Little Rock branch of the National League of American Penwomen. She was a member of the Arkansas branch of the National Society of Arts and Letters and she designed the cover of the sheet music for the "Arkansas Traveler." She recently was active in the formation of St. Alban's Anglican Church.

Survivors are two children, Dr, George L. Alexander of Pittsburgh and Nancy Alexander Wilds of Aiken, S. C.; a sister, Mrs. George A. Mouton of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Roselawn Memorial Park by Rev. Alan Rosenau. Burial will be by Ruebel Funeral Home. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to St. Alban's Anglican Church.
