PHELPS-LEA
WILMINGTON, Del., June 1, -- Sheffield Phelps, son of William Walter Phelps, and Miss Claudia Wright Lea were married this afternoon at the residence of the bride's father, Preston Lea. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles D. Murray, rector of St. Andrew's Protestant Episcopal Church, in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends of the family.

Wilmington, Del., June 1 -- Sheffield Phelps, son of William Walter Phelps, and Miss Claudia Wright Lea were married this afternoon at the residence of the bride's father, Preston Lea. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles D. Murray, rector of St. Andrew's Church, in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends of the family.
Miss Alice Lea was maid of honor; Francis C. Clarke, of New York, best man; Miss Marion Phelps, of Englewood, N.J.; Miss Louise Weir, New Haven, Conn.; Miss Cornelia Draper and Miss Sophie Dupont, of this city, were the bridesmaids, and Samuel Bremmer, Henry Brooks, Percey Knapp, Charlton Lewis, Hartford, Conn., ushers. A wedding breakfast followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Phelps went North on a bridal trip, and on June 14 will sail for Europe. Among the guests were Mrs. William Walter Phelps, Miss Phelps, Captain and Mrs. John C. Phelps and Miss Deronda, of Englewood, N.J.; Amos Eno, Miss Miller, Robinson Lea and Miss Lea, of New York; Dr. and Mrs. John Gard, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Perot, Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Downing and Mrs. John Bullock, of Philadelphia.
