Robert H. Wilds, Jr.




[Due to fire nothing of RHW's service record has survived. The following information has been graciously provided by his widow or gleaned from online sources]

Lieutenant Robert H. Wilds, Jr. USAAF, (General Offices) was Co-Pilot of a B-24 Liberator of the 885th Bomb. Sqdn., (H) (Sp) 15th Air Force.
Lt. Wilds flew many missions in North Africa and Italy and was reported missing and later killed in action over Yugoslavia. He was decorated with the Air Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.
